Local Scholarships Awarded Annually

Charleston Business and Professional Women is a professional organization that serves Charleston and the surrounding communities through “Women Helping Women.”

In 1994 the organization established a Foundation Scholarship at Eastern Illinois University (EIU), Charleston to be awarded annually to a qualified woman who is pursuing further education at EIU. The application forms will be distributed by the EIU Foundation.

In 2003 work began to establish a scholarship at Lakeland College to a qualified student. The first scholarship was awarded in June of 2004.

The amount of the scholarship and the number of scholarships offered will be determined annually by the organization at its discretion. The scholarship recipients will be chosen by the BPW Scholarship Committee.
